14-1 -14-5

14-1 Audio is the recording and reproduction of sound in support of video

14-2 Two problems:
-Audio records everything
-Audio distorts sounds

14-3 Production sound is the sound that is recorded with te video. Production sound requires special care because if distorted, the whole set must be recorded over again.

14-4 Background sound is anything that is continuous sound that may be coming fronm noise, waves, traffic or anything not wanted to be miced. You can minimize background sound by turning off controllable sounds and minimize uncontrollable sounds such as traffic.

14-5 Sound effects are seperate from the production track. They provide better understanding and effect of the situation. Sound effects can be recorded seperatley or derived on a computer.
